Yellowstone National Park is in a high elevation region. In fact the Yellowstone Plateau is at approximately 8,000 feet above sea level. The climate is considered to be primarily subalpine. Snow can fall during any month in the park and guided snowmobile tours are a popular activity for tourists. The park gets so much snow that during the winter some cabins and inns are only accessible via snowmobiles. This natural colored yarn reflects the naked beauty of the snow-covered peaks in winter.
